September 10, 2026 · BYDACC News

BYD has raised its 2026 overseas sales target to 1.9–2.0 million vehicles, up from 1.5 million set in March, and set a 2027 goal of 2.5 million or more, according to a Deutsche Bank note first reported by CnEVPost.

BYD 2026 Overseas Sales Target Raised to 2 Million

From just 45,000 overseas units in 2022, BYD is targeting a fifty-fold jump in five years. Overseas sales rose 85.7% to 1.16 million in the first eight months of 2026, while August alone hit a record 189,466 units — a fifth straight monthly peak. International shipments now account for 43% of total deliveries.

Global Manufacturing Expansion: Brazil, Hungary and Indonesia

Powering the ambition is a global manufacturing build-out: Indonesia is already producing, Brazil is ramping toward 300,000 vehicles a year, and Hungary — BYD's first European passenger-car plant — is set to roll out its first car by December.

Charging Infrastructure and AI-Driven Energy

At home, the 10,000th flash-charging station was completed on August 28, with a year-end target of 20,000 stations in China and 6,000 overseas. AI-driven energy — combining solar, storage and Megawatt FLASH Charging — is now a key next-stage direction for the company.
