Shenzhen, China — BYD announced today that its overseas sales of passenger vehicles and pickups reached 188,700 units in August 2026, marking a massive 134.6% year-over-year increase.
Record-Breaking Growth
From January to August, the EV giant sold 1.158 million units overseas, already surpassing its entire 2025 full-year overseas volume of 1.049 million. This momentum highlights the accelerating global adoption of BYD's new energy vehicles.
Global Expansion
To support this surge, BYD has activated manufacturing plants in Uzbekistan, Thailand, and Brazil. Additionally, a fleet of eight owned roll-on/roll-off ships is now operational, significantly enhancing global delivery efficiency.
